SUNRISE BEACH VILLAGE
Sunrise Beach Village is a small, upscale, waterside community situated along the western shore of Lake LBJ, where Austin and San Antonio are quickly accessible, and Dallas, Houston, and Midland/Odessa are just a few hours away. Sunrise Beach has its own private airport! A largely recreational community of full and part time residents, the village sits at the terminus of FM 2233, thereby assuring traffic is both sparse and local.
Offering a diverse array of real estate for home buyers, Sunrise Beach provides properties at every price range and setting: small lakefront cabins, off-water view properties, and gated waterfront villas. Buy an existing residence or design and build your own dream home on an available lot. Properties typically provide great value for the money! Small waterfront cabins start at around $350,000 while luxury waterfront estates in prime locations can be offered at multi-million-dollar prices.
Enjoy your Sunrise Beach paradise of sunrises and sunsets sparkling across the lake. Step waterside to launch your boat for hours of boating or fishing with friends and family. Water-based recreational activities dominate and numerous lakeside parks and boat launches make it easy for all property owners. Fishing is a popular pastime, with good-sized crappies, white bass, catfish and some very nice largemouth bass.
The Highland Lakes is a golfer’s paradise with numerous golf courses both private and public marinas offer rentals and storage. Enjoy wine tastings and tours from wineries across the Hill Country where some offer lake cruise events. Close by, Marble Falls allows convenient access to its retail, wholesale, trades, services, and health care facilities.
First held in 1970, Aqua Boom is a Fourth of July celebration held in nearby Kingsland, and for many Lake LBJ residents, it’s one of the highlights of the summer. Water, land, and kid’s parades are held with live music, water ski shows, “Rubber Ducky” and “Wacky Raft” races, and evening fireworks.
A well-kept secret close by is the Kingsland Slab, a section of the Llano River, on FM 3404 about 2 miles west of RR 1431, created by a huge outcropping of pink granite beneath the Llano River. Find plenty of natural swimming and wading holes, sandy beaches, and smooth rocks for laying out. Shallow, sandy-bottomed areas are perfect for the kids, while deep areas are big enough for a full-body dip.
