Founder Jan Busse of The Busse Group provides an unprecedented level of expertise, service, and commitment. Jan moved to the Highland Lakes in 2006 and immediately began her real estate career as an individual agent. Five years later, the Busses’ started their team when her husband, Roy joined the business. Today, The Busse Group is the #1 team in the Highland Lakes.
Client focused, and technology driven, Jan’s business mindset is apparent in all aspects of the transaction. Her focus on sales data ensures Busse Group clients understand and take advantage of current market trends. She provides the brand vision for the group by utilizing clever, polished, and professional marketing and advertising campaigns. Effective Internet marketing techniques combined with her innovative negotiating skills lead to high yielding contracts for Busse Group clients.
Roy Busse, along with Jan, is a managing partner of The Busse Group, LLC and a licensed Realtor®. Roy has been involved in all aspects of the company including, sales, marketing, operations, financial, sales management, legal and taxes.
As a founding member of the team, he has leveraged his extensive background in business and marketing that includes senior positions at Ford Motor Company, retail automotive dealerships, an automotive systems provider, and an internet startup.
Roy’s background, real estate experience, and knowledge of the area as a 13-year resident brings valuable perspective and guidance to both the selling and listing process.
Nicole Deal, licensed Realtor®, is a co-listing agent. As Jan’s listing partner, she is responsible for the entire front end of the listing process. She prepares client’s market analyses, publishes our monthly and annual sales charts, and is always up-to-date on current market conditions. Nicole is also responsible for following up with new clients, nurturing our listing database, spearheading our seller marketing campaigns, and maintaining our listing contract files. She heads client services for the ͞seller͟ – side of our business. Her industry knowledge, excellent people skills, energetic, sincere attitude, and professionalism inspire clients and partners alike.
Beverly Graham epitomizes energy, integrity and hard work. She grew up relocating frequently both with her family and then with her husband’s career and is a veteran of buying, selling and financing homes. The Hill Country is where she has been proud to call home for over ten years, and she loves helping clients to find their piece of Texas paradise.
Prior to real estate, she enjoyed a career as a senior financial analyst in the mutual fund, business consulting, technology, and engineering industries. Holding a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration, she wanted to continue to work with high level professionals without having to live in the big city. She was delighted to join The Busse Group representing buyers and have the opportunity to work in the very community where she lives. Her experience in the corporate world in strategic and analytical roles lends tremendous value to her real estate clientele. Understanding the state of the local market, realistic property values, historical price cycles and the current broader economic outlook helps her to support clients with the purchase of property as an asset, whether it serves as a home or as an investment addition to a portfolio. A firm believer in giving back, she supports her church and several charities with her time and talent. In her free time, teaching power and hatha yoga is a continual source of inspiration. As a passionate cook and golfer, she loves sharing great meals and time on the course with her husband Kent.
Joe Halloum is a licensed Realtor® focused on investment properties in both the Austin and Highland Lakes markets. Joe has leveraged his background in business and technology to help buyers acquire the right properties to increase the value of their real estate portfolio and their overall wealth. Joe’s broad experience in executive leadership as well as software and technology helped the Busse group hone its strategic mission and refine its technology roadmap.
Prior to joining the Busse group, Joe enjoyed a progressive career in the computer and software industries starting as a software engineer and eventually founding and guiding multiple companies to successful exits.
In addition to real estate, Joe enjoys woodworking projects. He holds a certificate in woodworking as well as bachelor’s in computer engineering, computer science, and an MBA.
Born and raised Texan, Justin’s family has been part of the Highland Lakes area since the 60’s. Justin spent endless summers on our beautiful lakes: Travis, Marble Falls, LBJ, Inks, and Buchanan – always in the search of perfect water. Blessed with being born to an accomplished Architect, Justin learned to draft plans in his 20’s, which guided his perspective and expectations of a good quality house.
While residing in Hawaii, Justin learned to make fine furniture and build musical equipment, where good craftsmanship and perfection were his primary focal points.
Desiring to construct a great life near his family, Justin relocated from Maui back to the Highland Lakes area. To some, this sounds like an unusual move, but Justin would argue, this area is among the most beautiful and inviting areas in America!
Mary Jo Callaway
Mary Jo Callaway, licensed Realtor® and long-time Horseshoe Bay and Marble Falls resident, has been with The Busse Group since its inception. Representing clients, her attention to detail, focused work ethic, and unparalleled integrity, have made her a vital component of our company’s success.
Mary began her real estate career as the TRANSACTIONS COORDINATOR for The Busse Group. As the facilitator for the ‘contract to close’ process, she assisted Busse Group agents and their clients by performing some of our most important and time sensitive processes and procedures.
Jessica Winters provides many crucial services for The Busse Group. As the Internet Sales Associate (ISA), she is responsible for one of the most important tasks: qualifying all incoming leads, prospecting for new leads, and following up with past leads. When they’re ready to work with a Busse Group agent, Jessica puts them in touch with the right teammate, insuring clients and their agent are the perfect fit. Jess is also our staging manager and supervises many special marketing projects for the team.
Instrumental in providing The Busse Group’s world class service, Jessica happily exceeds the expectations of our clients, vendors, and cooperating agents. As our liaison in the real estate community, Jessica coordinates showings and maintains our feedback reporting systems. Jess also spearheads special projects for Jan and Roy, The Busse Groups managing partners.
With a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management and Education, and a Master’s Degree in Hospitality Management, Jessica worked as a school teacher for Cypress Fairbanks Independent School District and as a sales representative in the staffing industry. She found her niche and passion working as a licensed real estate agent.
