In a relaxed Texas setting, where Austin and San Antonio are quickly accessible and Dallas, Houston, and Midland/Odessa are just a few hours away, enjoy the vibrant lifestyle of water and golf amenities or the serene setting of one of the area’s many ranches. Many community airports accommodate private planes and Horseshoe Bay’s private jet center features a lighted 6,000-foot runway to accommodate up to a regional jetliner.
Recreational lake activities dominate the area, with boating, wakeboarding, paddle boarding, water skiing, kayaking, canoeing, and fishing among the most popular pastimes. Marinas abound for rentals and storage. The Highland Lakes is a golfer’s paradise with numerous golf courses both private and public. Local wineries provide wine tastings, tours, and lake cruises. Immerse yourself in Hill Country heritage at local museums and art galleries. Highlight of the summer are July 4th festivities where every community hosts land and water parades and live music. Top it off with evening fireworks, and if you find a high enough vantage point, simultaneously enjoy the fireworks from Kingsland, Marble Falls, Horseshoe Bay, and Escondido.
Built around four of the six lakes in the “Highland Lakes Chain of Lakes:” Buchanan, Inks, LBJ, and Marble Falls, the primary towns we serve are Horseshoe Bay, Marble Falls, Meadowlakes, Kingsland, Sunrise Beach, Highland Haven, Granite Shoals and Burnet. Lakes Travis and Austin are farther down the chain in the Austin metropolitan area.
The two largest reservoirs, Lakes Buchanan and Travis, store and supply water to meet household, industrial, agricultural and environmental needs. The four smaller lakes – Inks, LBJ, Marble Falls and Austin – are known as “pass-through lakes.”
Out of town buyers comprise about 90% of our business, and many sellers are vacation home owners who don’t live here full-time. Our virtual real estate services (insert hyperlink to new tab on website) make transactions easy and stress-free.
