Roy Busse is a successful business man with 40 years of automotive, corporate, and entrepreneurial experience. Roy started his career with Ford Motor Company working in field operations and product marketing and his last position was National Dealer Advertising Manager in Dearborn. He left Ford to become a partner in a large Ford Dealership and over a 15 year period owned and operated retail automobile dealerships in a number of major markets.
Joining ADP Dealer Services in 1990, he was responsible for Manufacturing relations and a variety of sales and marketing responsibilities. He was promoted to VP Division Sales Operations and focused on identification and launch of sales automation tools such as Backweb, Sant, and Sales Logix. He then took the role of VP Sales Strategic Products facilitating acquisition of companies like BZ Results and creating new sales channels for products. These focused teams launch products for CRM, IP Telephony, and Digital Marketing. After the launch of two internet startups, he joined Jan in 2011 to form The Busse Group.
Roy’s focus for the Busse Group is sales strategy, sales management, conventional and digital marketing, accounting and business management, legal and taxes.
Dawn Custer, REALTOR® – Buyer Advocate
An accomplished agent, Dawn has been helping new home buyers in the Austin and Hill Country areas find and purchase their dream home for over 22 years. After facing a less than desirable home buying experience herself, Dawn was inspired to pursue a career in real estate and has since been committed to ensuring a superior experience for her own clients. Passionate, knowledgeable, and experienced, Dawn will not yield until she has found the perfect home for her buyers.
Dawn is happily married with four beautiful children. Her family adores the Highland Lakes area and the beauty it exudes.
Beverly Graham, REALTOR® – Buyer Advocate
Beverly Graham epitomizes energy, integrity and hard work. She grew up relocating frequently both with her family and then with her husband’s career and is a veteran of buying, selling and financing homes. Prior to real estate, she enjoyed as career as a senior financial analyst in the mutual fund, business consulting, technology, and engineering industries. Holding a degree in Economics and a Master’s in Business Administration, she wanted to continue to work with high level professionals without having to live in the big city. She was delighted to join The Busse Group representing buyers and have the opportunity to work in the very community where she lives. Her experience in the corporate world in strategic and analytical roles lends tremendous value to her real estate clientele. Understanding the state of the local market, realistic property values, historical price cycles and the current broader economic outlook helps her to support clients with the purchase of property as an asset, whether it serves as a home or as an investment addition to a portfolio.
A firm believer in giving back, she supports her church and several charities with her time and talent. In her free time, teaching power and hatha yoga is a continual source of inspiration. As a passionate cook and golfer, she loves sharing great meals and time on the course with her husband Kent.
Andy Burk, REALTOR® – Buyer Advocate
After growing up in Odessa, Texas, Andy graduated from the University of Texas with a BBA in Accounting. Following a period with a CPA firm in Austin, he went to work in the family oil and gas service business in West Texas. The sale of that business lead to a position at a large energy company, first in management, then later in the mergers and acquisitions department. Andy moved to Horseshoe Bay in 2011. After selling and purchasing several homes with their help, Andy’s relationship with The Busse Group became a professional one when he joined their team as a Realtor. His business experience, understanding of the building process, and love for the area, made his transition into the real estate arena natural. He brings his experience as a licensed mediator for the state of Texas along with a common sense approach when assisting buyers who are searching for the perfect home. Andy and his wife of 38 years, Lee Ann, have 2 married children and 4 grandchildren and 1 on the way, all of whom LOVE to visit Horseshoe Bay.
Patti Woolard, REALTOR® – Buyer Advocate
A native of North Carolina, Patti moved to Texas at a very young age and considers herself a “TEXAN” at heart. She moved to Horseshoe Bay in 2013 from the Midland/Odessa area where she started her real estate career in 2005. From “Rookie of the Year” in 2006 to “Realtor of the Year” in 2011, Patti truly found a job she loves. She has earned the following designations: Graduate of the Real Estate Institute (GRI), Accredited Buyer Specialist (ABR), Seller’s Representative Specialist (SRS), Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Resort and Second-Home Specialist (RSPS) and is a Graduate of the Texas Real Estate Leadership Program (TRLP). Patti loves working with buyers and will work endlessly to achieve her client’s goals. Her greatest reward is knowing that she has done so with dedication and exceeded her client’s expectations. In her spare time, Patti enjoys spending time with her husband Royce, three children, and nine grandchildren. She is also a member of Marble Falls Church of Christ.
John Francis, REALTOR® – Buyer Advocate
John Francis is a native Texan, born and raised in Austin, Texas. He attended Stephen F. Austin High School before receiving his BA in Government / Business from Texas Tech University. John is passionate about Central Texas and life in the Texas Hill Country, growing up spending much of his time on the lakes and golf courses in Austin and the surrounding area. He has worked for over 25 years with organizations of all types, always providing professional and committed service to his customers and clients. As legendary golf teacher Harvey Penick told all of his pupils, John included, “take dead aim” and that’s exactly what he will do for your real estate needs. John lives in Horseshoe Bay with his wife Reagan and daughter Sloan. Reagan is an English teacher and Sloan attends Marble Falls Middle School.
Mary Jo Callaway, REALTOR® – Contract Coordinator
As the overseer of operations, Mary Jo runs a tight ship. Carrying out contract to close and assisting with negotiations, she performs some of our most important processes and procedures. Working with clients, cooperating agents, title companies, and vendors, Mary assures smooth, efficient transactions in a very stressful, fast paced environment. Her attention to detail, focused work ethic, and unparalleled integrity, has made her a vital component of our company’s success.
Laura Gisi – Marketing Director
Marketing Manager for The Busse Group, Laura is responsible for the marketing, communication, and business development efforts of the company. In addition to strategic expansion efforts, she directs media relations, branding, advertising, social media campaigns, and website development.
Laura holds a Bachelor’s degree from Portland State University where she graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in International Development. In her free time, Laura can be found practicing yoga or performing at the local community theatre.
Nicole Deal, REALTOR® – Listing Specialist
As the team’s Listing Specialist, Nicole is responsible for lead conversion and many other aspects the listing process. From preparing monthly market trend charts, to providing clients with specific market information about their individual homes, she is always up-to-date on current conditions. Nicole accompanies Jan on all new listing appointments, assisting with any questions potential clients may have about our processes. Nicole prospects for new clients on a daily basis from various lead sources (including homes that were previously listed but did not sell), responds to inbound leads, schedules appointments for potential listing clients, manages the client databases, and conducts thorough lead follow up and nurturing. Nicole works side by side with the Marketing Director to effectively solicit and acquire all new listing clients. Her industry knowledge, excellent people skills, energetic, sincere attitude, and professionalism inspire clients and partners alike.
Client Services Coordinator, Avelina’s most important job is client relations. She is instrumental in providing The Busse Group’s world class service, happily exceeding the expectations of our clients, vendors, and cooperating agents. Avelina is the liaison for our company in the real estate community, coordinating showings, maintaining our feedback reporting system, and working with every agent and broker on showings.
Part of the staging team, Cheryl has a keen eye for helping to bring out the best in each home. She strategically stages, using proven methods, to make sure our listings look better than any of the others out there. Cheryl works hard to create a setting that allows a potential buyer to imagine themselves living in the home and getting emotionally attached.
Cheryl stays very busy and active as a wife and mother of three.
